Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center is a rising crown jewel of Ilocos Norte in
 tourism. Located in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte – the northernmost settlement on Luzon Island and a popular tourist destination because of its natural tourist attractions and nature-inclined resorts and beaches.

 

To experience Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center, first you must travel all the way from Naga to Manila and then to Ilocos Norte and then in this province’s heart, Pagudpud.

BY LAND

Travelling to Manila is the first thing to do but if you are going through public transportation towards Manila and then Pagudpud, you have to ride a bus in which your destination must be “Sampaloc, Manila” and not “Cubao” since GV Florida Liner’s terminal is also in Sampaloc (walking distance) in which you can get a direct ride straight to Pagudpud. Fariñas Transit’s bus station is also nearby although it does not have a straight trip to Pagudpud but instead you can be dropped off in Pasuquin/Bacarra (both municipalities of Ilocos Norte also) or in Laoag. If you are a first timer in the province, I would suggest to stop at Laoag so there will be more accessible rides to Pagudpud, for your safety and convenience. In addition to this, if you intend to go to Cubao and then to Ilocos Norte afterwards, you also have another option: go to Partas’ bus terminal and likewise, the only trip it makes to Ilocos Norte is to Laoag.

All these bus companies offer a similar range of bus fares from P600-P1000 depending on the class of the bus you want.

If you will a have a private mode of transportation, then it will be the same route and destination: (Naga – Manila – Pagudpud) The estimated duration of the whole drive will be 18 hours to 22 hours, depending if there is a massive traffic.

LOST GIRL’S EXPERIENCE

July 30, 2016 – Our second day in Ilocos Norte, I and my family both from Manila and from the province itself went out to spend the whole day at the beaches. We headed first to have a family picnic in one of our relative’s resort in Pagudpud. Before you reach the municipality, you will pass by at Ilocos’ renowned Bangui Windmills. 😍

After eating, we headed straight to Hannah’s Beach Resort. All of us rode in three different cars. We were travelling fine and the road to Hannah’s is abundant with green pastures and since we were in the owner jeep (I, my 5 cousins including the driver and my dad who is sitting beside me at the shotgun seat) we enjoyed the view more until we reach Hannah’s.

To reach Hannah’s main facilities you have to drive past this and into a downward slope road, between the walls of a mountain and a cliff.

It was all well until we had a problem with the brakes of our car. I was taking photos before we found out we lost the brakes. After we found out, there were no signs of us panicking, just complete silence.

Our owner jeep has open windows and since the road is downward, our speed is increasing that I almost flew outside. Luckily, I managed to hold on. My cousin, the one who was driving, does not know what to do anymore. We drove past the two cars in which our other relatives are riding and grazed one of it. I almost hit the side mirror and fortunately, my father was there to pull me in.

My father grabbed the steering wheel from my cousin and drove us to the side of the mountain instead of falling down the tall cliff. The result is unpleasant, our car went upside down while we were inside of it but we had no serious injuries, just barely a few scratches and small bumps. When I came back to my senses, (I didn’t pass out, things just happened quickly) I instantly searched for my phone that I was holding throughout the whole commotion (good thing it didn’t flew out😆) and my bag, then I went outside to see all of my cousins and my father okay. We were safe and we have to thank God for that.

The staff from Hannah’s immediately responded to us and helped us. We were told that the area is really accident-prone so guests and visitors must be extremely careful when driving. It was really a wrong timing for us to lose the brakes but we wouldn’t let that to ruin our family vacation.

We went home right after but we went back to Hannah’s the next day. Of course, who would wanna miss the fun? 😁

The fresh and cold zephyr of the sea welcomed us together with the warm greetings of the staff. Since we came from a long drive and it was lunch time when we arrived, we went to Hannah’s Resto to eat. The food that were served to us tasted outstanding and these two are my favorite.

Afterwards, we headed to the Blue Lagoon and ran towards the white sand. The majestic view and the serene ambiance were enough to calm you and drift you away in tranquility.

Eventually, after a few hours or so, we needed to go home because of the incoming typhoon so we didn’t get to experience much ( so much for raining on my parade 🤣) but I will be going back.
